The Boy Who Cried…

Share

There once was a boy,
Who was asked to watch over the sheep
He became so bored, one day
That he plotted a practical joke, so they say

“Wolf! Wolf! Woooolf!” he cried,
Neighbors & friends have come to his aide
He laughed and laughed at them
For all their sweat and pants and pains.

There once was a boy,
Now he’s all grown-up and mature
This girl he really likes,
He asks out with a heart so pure

“I like you very much,
I really, really, really, really do!
Will you believe me now,
every little thing I say to you?”

Tell me now,
Will she heed to his cries & open up her heart?
Or will the wolf,
At its leisure, lacerate and destroy the flock?
