A question for Rick Riordan about his novel: Percy Jackson & The Olympians. (Spoilers ahead)

Dear Mr. Rick Riordan,

I couldn’t comment on your blog so I posted this on mine. I don’t know if you will possibly read this but anyway, if this reaches you, I have a question for you about your novel: Percy Jackson & The Olympians. I’m not sure if this has been asked before though (now answered).

Warning: Spoilers for readers who might wanna read the novel.

Why did you choose Poseidon as Percy’s father? Why not Zeus? Is it because you already thought of the whole story beforehand or was it Poseidon being your most favorite Greek god?

Sincerely,

A Greek myth fan
